Tasks completed through Extra Hand are the only ones eligible for secure payments, customer support, and insurance coverage—these protections are not available if a task is cancelled. As a customer, you pay a connection fee when accepting a Tasker’s offer, since the platform has matched you with the right person to help. If the Tasker cancels, you’ll receive a full refund in Extra Hand credits. However, if you choose to cancel, the connection fee will be deducted from your refund. Cancellations may also affect your reputation on the platform by lowering your completion rate, which can make it harder to receive quality offers. Repeated cancellations could even result in limitations or deactivation of your account.
