How do reviews work?

Reviews help build trust within the ExtraHand community by giving users an honest and reliable way to understand what to expect when working with others. Whether you’re a service provider or a customer, sharing fair feedback helps everyone make better decisions.

Review indicators on ExtraHand

Overall star rating Each user has an overall rating out of 5 stars, visible on their profile. Both customers and service providers can rate each other for completed or cancelled tasks. Frequent cancellations may negatively affect this rating.

Service quality ratings Customers can rate service providers on key qualities such as communication, punctuality, attention to detail, and efficiency. These ratings give additional insight into performance but may not affect the overall star rating.

Written reviews Users can leave a public written review based on their experience. If you prefer not to write a review, you may skip it—your star rating will remain private to the other party.

Completion rate This shows how reliable a service provider is by displaying the percentage of tasks they complete compared to tasks assigned. Only cancellations caused by the service provider affect this rate, and it becomes visible after a minimum number of completed tasks.

Common questions

Who can leave a review? Both customers and service providers can leave reviews for tasks that were assigned and completed or cancelled.

When can reviews be submitted and published? Reviews can be submitted after the task is closed and payment is released. Users have 14 days to leave a review.

If both reviews are submitted, they are published immediately.

After 14 days, any submitted reviews will be published automatically, and no new reviews can be added.

Can reviews be edited? Once published, reviews and ratings cannot be edited. If removal is required, users may contact ExtraHand support for assistance.

What rules apply to reviews? All reviews must follow ExtraHand’s Review Guidelines. Reviews that violate these rules or are removed at the author’s request cannot be replaced with a new review.
