This article explains how ExtraHand’s dispute resolution process works, including when disputes can be raised, the review steps, and how decisions are made.
What is ExtraHand’s dispute resolution process? While most tasks on ExtraHand run smoothly, there may be rare occasions where disagreements arise due to miscommunication or unexpected issues. To support both customers and helpers, ExtraHand offers a free and structured dispute resolution process designed to help both sides reach a fair outcome.
When can a dispute be raised? A task can be reviewed under ExtraHand’s dispute process if:
Work on the task has already started
Platform rules and community standards have been followed
Both parties are aware of the issue and have attempted to resolve it directly
If these conditions are met, ExtraHand support can step in to assist.
How the dispute process works Step 1: Share what happened Before involving ExtraHand, both parties should try to resolve the issue through direct communication. If no agreement is reached, ExtraHand will ask both sides to submit details explaining the situation and their concerns.
Step 2: Review by ExtraHand The ExtraHand team reviews all information provided by both parties. This includes messages, task details, and any supporting evidence. The team acts as a neutral reviewer during this stage.
Step 3: Resolution decision Based on the available information, ExtraHand will provide a recommended resolution along with a clear explanation. This decision is made to be fair and balanced for both parties. If either party disagrees with the outcome, they may choose to pursue external options independently.
Helpful tips during a dispute Do: Keep communication respectful and professional
Provide clear information and evidence
Try to understand the other party’s perspective
Avoid: Escalating the issue without attempting direct resolution first
Expecting a decision without supporting details
Violating platform guidelines during the process
